Let’s explore some of the reasons why you’re not seeing results with your weight loss plan and your fitness strategy in general.

Unrealistic Expectations

First, you need to make sure that you are setting realistic expectations for your weight loss journey. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that things are going to change overnight. Particularly, if you have been living a generally unhealthy lifestyle for quite some time. If you are worried about this, we recommend that you think about committing to the idea of exercising for at least three months before you notice any significant change. Be aware that you will see early gains in the first few days that you begin exercising but these are going to be short-lived.

Too Far Gone

It’s equally possible that you are too far gone and the standard forms of weight loss will not work. This could be the case if your BMI is well above 35. If that’s the case, then it’s important to understand that there are alternatives that are worth exploring. For instance, you might want to explore options from a weight loss clinic. This could include a gastric sleeve or gastric bypass surgery from a weight loss clinic. Both are used to shrink your stomach and reduce your appetite. It also streamlines the digestion process – this means there won’t be a build-up of junk in your body.

No Tracking

You could also be finding it difficult to lose weight and get in shape because you are not tracking your progress at all. If you don’t track your progress then you won’t know your starting point or whether you’re changing anything at all. This can also be quite disheartening. There are lots of steps that you can take to track your progress which will motivate you to achieve the right results here. For instance, you could use technology such as a smartwatch. Or, you might want to think about taking a before picture. This means that you can track your progress by taking a new image of yourself each month.

Yo-Yo Dieting

You might also be struggling to see real results because of issues with your diet. For instance, you could be yo-yo dieting. This means that you are losing weight and putting it right back on again. Usually, this is an issue because you taking far too many cheat days overall which is leading to issues with your progress. The ideal is to have an organic balanced diet where you eat nutritiously most of the time but also have room for those cravings. so you don’t feel deprived and end up bingeing.

You Haven’t Addressed Your Mindset

Another reason why you’re not seeing results with your weight loss is that you haven’t addressed your mindset. Many times, we have cognitive distortions, negative thought patterns, running through our minds that keep us stuck. This causes self-sabotage and doesn’t allow us to achieve our goals. This is why it’s important to deal with your mindset and the cognitions that are stopping you from moving forward.

No Routine

Next, you should ensure you are planning the right routine to lose weight. If you don’t have a routine then you’re going to struggle to see the results that you are looking for. You’ll also find it more difficult to maintain a consistent strategy which means that you are more likely to fall behind with your plans. Ideally, you should be exercising at least forty-five minutes every other day and eating well most days of the week. Although, the amount of exercise will always depend on your weight loss goals and what you want to achieve in a given amount of time.

No Lifestyle Changes

Another reason that you might struggle to lose weight is if you don’t make significant changes to your lifestyle. For instance, you could be using supplements to lose weight. While this can be beneficial, it is important to understand that it’s never going to get you all of the way there. Indeed, your levels of weight loss will typically be quite limited if you only use supplements. You need to take steps to make larger changes to everything from your diet to your exercise plan. By making comprehensive changes, you’ll see far greater results overall.

Metabolism Trouble

Next, you might be having issues with your metabolism. Depending on your metabolism, you could find it easier or more difficult to lose weight. That’s why it’s important to make sure that you are thinking about how to improve your metabolism. This will also mean that you find it far easier to build muscle. There are many ways to change your metabolism; some are significantly easier than others. For instance, you might want to think about starting the day with an ice-cold glass of water. Or, you could try intermittent fasting or HIIT to set your system back in order.

Toxicity

It’s important to understand that there are different types of weight. For instance, you could be carrying excess levels of weight because your body isn’t digesting and processing food correctly, or because your body has accumulated toxins. These toxins stay on your fat cells and may be adding to your overall weight. To deal with this, you might want to think about completing a detox. With the right detox, you can clear your body completely. As well as improving your weight, you’ll also feel significantly healthier.

We hope this helps you understand some of the key challenges that you may encounter. When you understand the reasons why you’re not seeing results with your weight loss plan, you can address them and make changes. It’s important to understand that this isn’t always easy and can be a long road with a large number of challenges. Remember, be honest with yourself, keep in mind the above points, preserve, and keep moving forward so you’ll get the results you are looking for.
