Working out the Chest is not only for males but highly advisable for females. It is necessary for upper body strength as well as for aesthetics.

The pectoralis muscles of the chest have a big range and require diverse exercises to engage them all.  A developed upper chest offers definition of the frontal area and looks amazing.   Not to mention, it helps to pull up the whole chest area.

A great exercise to workout the upper chest is High Cable flyes. Besides working the chest, high cable flyes also engage the shoulders and arms. Be mindful that you cannot use the same weight used with dumbbells since the arms are levers…Start with a light weight and slowly increase it.

When using the cables, do not lock the arms but keep them on a slight angle. Start the movement with the hands a little bit in front of the shoulders in order to avoid injuries.

In the video, I am alternating arms. Alternating arms while performing high cable flyes helps to engage the core a little more.  At the end, I’m bringing both arms together for added burn.
